Nurture to Thrive

Hello, I’m Lisa and I run Nurture to Thrive, an emotional well being coaching company that helps children and adolescents develop tools and strategies to support them in everyday life.

I have a BSc Hons degree in Education, qualified emotions coach and more than 15 years’ experience working with children in schools with a focus on emotions and mental health. I can support children and adolescents aged 5-16 years.

Empowering your children with the ability to develop emotionally supportive relationships is key to them building a sense of self-worth and confidence.

I offer one-to-one sessions and small group coaching. I use a creative and strength-based approach to support children enabling them to focus on their individual goals and the steps required to achieve them.  Bespoke coaching sessions are planned for each child. They are fun, creative and focus on the child/young person’s interests and individual needs.

Well being skills such as positive mindset, gratitude, affirmations, breathing techniques, social and emotional regulation understanding all form part of the 6-week initial programme.

During the sessions, children learn to understand why they act and feel the way they do, be that frightened, anxious, angry or frustrated. Together we work through the programme to help them learn ways to recognise their emotions and develop the tools so they can understand and manage their feelings. The sessions help:

  • build social, emotional and well being confidence

  • develop resilience and strategies to cope with uncomfortable or big emotions

  • nurture a positive mindset

  • enable them to flourish and be proud of their achievements

I believe that empowering children with self-awareness allows them to develop important life skills and the confidence to be open and honest with themselves and others around them.

If your child is struggling with their emotions, displaying anxiety or signs of distress or perhaps, they are withdrawn and do not feel themselves, then please get in contact and together we can work towards providing them with the skills and confidence to be themselves again.

Client Reviews

Thank you for your feedback

'Having tried and failed to get help from the NHS, CAMHS and ELSA services and after reading multiple books and trying different techniques to help our son with his anxiety we reached out to Lisa. We found having someone impartial (and far more of an expert than ourselves) was a great help. Our son was offered a choice of where the sessions took place which was great; he was more comfortable in a home setting rather than having them at school. Since completing the course his anxiety has reduced significantly, he has tools to help him cope and a belief in himself that he has the capacity to manage his feelings in a much more positive and productive way. His physical symptoms (stomach ache and nausea) are now very rare and if they do occur we all have tools and exercises we can do to help. The emotional outbursts have been reduced and are resolved much more quickly than previously. We are very grateful for Lisa’s guidance and help and strongly recommend her services to anyone who is struggling with their child’s emotions. The exercises are also helpful for us as adults / parents!! Thank you so much'
